We are currently seeking a dynamic and imaginative marketer to fill the role of a Senior Marketing Strategist for a fixed-term 6-month contract. Working alongside the Managing Director you will lead the launch of our new brand, Ajia, and assist in supporting the current marketing objectives for Busaba. With well-defined design and concept, both brands offer clear marketing guidelines. We are specifically looking for an individual who can support existing marketing initiatives and strategies for an established brand while also ensuring an immediate and successful launch for the new opening, the ideal candidate should be capable of adapting to evolving strategies.

Main responsibilities:

• Direct strategic market research initiatives to stay abreast of industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics. Apply insights to refine and enhance all our marketing strategies for maximum effectiveness.
• Manage external creative agencies and retainer partners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality materials fit for purpose.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive strategies for the Busaba and Ajia brands, covering digital, advertising, communications, and creative components.
• Prepare, manage, and regularly report on monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the Marketing department.
• Establish, monitor, and report on team goals, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
• Analyse guest behaviour to identify opportunities for reaching new market segments.
• Lead the planning and execution of marketing plans for the introduction of new menus, specials, and other initiatives.
• Coordinate efforts between sales and marketing to enhance brand awareness and support the operations team.
• Supervise social media planning and execution, ensuring a consistent and engaging online presence.

Requirements:

• Previous Head of Marketing or equivalent position within the hospitality sector, with a paramount focus on successfully opening and launching new brands within short timeframes.
• Evident success in formulating and implementing marketing strategies that significantly influence brand awareness and contribute to pipeline growth.
• Extensive expertise spanning both online and offline marketing channels, showcasing a well-rounded approach to marketing initiatives.
• Established track record in effectively overseeing external marketing agencies, ensuring collaboration and high-performance outcomes.
• Proficient in budget management, demonstrating the ability to allocate resources strategically for optimal results.
